parkbytext, Ireland’s leading mobile parking operator will be providing attendees at this year’s Web Summit
the option to pay for their parking using their mobile phone bill or credit. This service, called parkbytext 2Bill, is a European first within the parking sector and is also a first-time offering at such a high profile event.
Since its launch in Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail’s Heuston, Connolly, Ceannt and Kent Stations in July of this year parkbytext 2Bill has seen a rise of up to 65% in non-registered customer parking transactions at these locations. The service has already been rolled out to further parkbytext locations and it will be extended to 10 additional Irish Rail Stations before the end of this year.
Jason Ballard, Managing Director of parkbytext said: “parkbytext™ aims to make parking payments easier for customers.
parkbytext 2Bill is the great fit for this year’s Web Summit, which sees hundreds of industry leaders and over 20,000 attendees walk through the RDS for this unique event. This is the perfect opportunity to provide cashless parking at such a large scaled event and also showcase the future of cashless transactions – by using your mobile phone bill or credit”.
Parking at this years Web Summit will be available via the RDS’s Simmonscourt car park located on Merrion Road, Dublin 4. This cost is €6 per day by cash or parkbytext 2Bill. parkbytext 2Bill is available to customers of Vodadone, O2 and Three.
