Dublin Dance Festival is the leading dance event on the Irish arts calendar. Each year in May, the Festival brings together dance artists and choreographers from across the world to share vibrant contemporary dance with audiences in Ireland. Throughout the duration of the festival the finest international choreographers and dance companies perform alongside emerging and established artists from Ireland in a variety of venues and spaces around the city. Audience members can look forward to experiencing both the celebrated classics and new contemporary pieces. Workshops, discussions, symposia, film screenings and other events are built around the programme to create new opportunities for audience members to encounter dance and to explore the art form more deeply.
