1 The Galway Christmas Markets / Christmas in Galway – 19th Nov. – 22nd Dec.
This is Ireland’s largest and longest running festive market. From Friday 20th November until Tuesday 22nd December 2015 Galway city will be transformed into a winter wonderland! Eyre Square is once again at the heart of festivities and new for 2015 is the Christmas Market hub at the Spanish Arch, just off Quay Street.Market goers can browse the wooden chalets brimming with crafts, toys, jewellery, cosmetics, decorations and plenty of stocking fillers. 2. The Helix panto- Aladdin
A mystical genie, a flying carpet and an old lamp, a beautiful princess, irresistible baddies and an exotic trip to the Far East. It could only be the magical and much loved pantomime, Aladdin Join the heroic but hopelessly romantic Aladdin and all the gang for the adventure of a lifetime in the Far East in this year’s fun-filled panto- guaranteed to enthrall the whole family. 3. The Snowman
A magical concert designed for all the family, Raymond Briggs’s captivating film has established itself as part of the Christmas festivities for young and old, accompanied by Howard Blake’s score played live by the Orchestra of the National Concert Hall. Suitable for young children, this is an opportunity for the whole family to share in the music and the magic of Christmas. Experience the magic of the remarkable friendship between James and his snowman and delight in this holiday tradition. Our narrator Simon Delaney will tell the story of James and the flying snowman as you watch the film on a big screen.

4. The Belfast Christmas Market – Nov. 19th – Dec 22nd
The Belfast Christmas Market returns to Belfast City Hall on Saturday 19 November from 12 noon. With even more variety for all Christmas Market lovers, this year’s market is set to be the best yet! Find an exciting selection of hand-painted pottery, continental food, decorations, and a wide range of festive arts and crafts from across Europe and beyond. 20 additional stalls located at the front of Belfast City Hall, outside the main entrance gates, will feature numerous local food and craft producers to celebrate Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink 2016. 5. Handel's Messiah by Candlelight
Venue: National Opera House. With Irish and International soloists including international rising star, Claudia Boyle– Soprano, returning from English National Opera, with Mezzo soprano Sharon Carthy – flying in from Frankfurt, Andrew Gavin – Tenor having just completed a season with Wexford Festival Opera and Belfast Bass Baritone – Tim Murphy returning to Ireland from the Royal Opera House, this is one not be missed. 6. Glow – A Cork Christmas Celebration – Nov. 25th – Dec. 18th
There’s so much to see and do in Cork City during GLOW, from visiting our free festive installation in Bishop Lucey Park, to soaring high above Cork on a giant Ferris wheel, indulging in food markets and enjoying festive entertainment galore.
The Markets will open from 12noon to 8.30pm.
The Park will open from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.

7. Santa Claus is coming to Croke Park
Visit Santa’s Grotto, the Elves’ Living Quarters, the Toy Factory and the GAA Museum at the Santa Experience in Croke Park. The experiences includes FREE admission to the GAA Museum, where families can discover two floors of interactive exhibits. 8. Waterford Winterval – Nov. 25th – Dec. 23rd
From the 20th to December 23rd (2015 dates), the city of waterford is transformed into a winter wonderland with activities for all the family to dive into.Throw on a pair of skates and brave the ice rink or sit back and relax on the Christmas carousel while munching on some festive food.Have a wander around and browse some of the many stalls or take the kids to visit Santa’s Grotto, the Toy Museum and the Winterval

9. Winter Funderland
Funderland is celebrating over 40 years at the RDS. A part of Christmas 2016 in Dublin, it has been said that Funderland is an annual appointment for thousands of families. Iskate On Ice offers and Authentic and unique Ice skating experience with Irelands largest outdoor Ice Rink. I know we won't be missing it and if you want to go aswell click here
